He is an architect & urban planner with 45 years of diversified experience in different organizations at home and abroad. He did Bachelor in Architecture from UET, Lahore and Masters in Urban Planning from AIT, Thailand. He served for 35 years in NESPAK in different positions and retired as Vice President/Head of Architecture Div. at Lahore head office. He is sharing his long time practical experience with students at UMT for the last 6 years. He has a versatile experience of working on building design and urban planning projects in all over Pakistan and in many Arab countries. He possesses vast experience of project management, tender documentation, bids evaluation and award of construction contracts. He performed as coordinator among various disciplines of engineering and architecture for building projects.He also successfully implemented ISO-9001 in A&P div. of NESPAK. Ilyas Malik has traveled to many countries in the world and has good technical and cultural exposure.
