Farrukh Baig is an urban planner and Lecturer at the Department of City and Regional Planning, University of Management and Technology. He is an Associate Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers Safety Committee. He has earned his Master's degree in Transportation Planning and Management and a Bachelor's degree in City and Regional Planning. His research interests include Urban management, automated vehicles, smart cities, road safety, transportation planning, and transport policy. He has been awarded multiple international scholarships, including fully funded Masters and Ph.D. Chinese Government Scholarship and the Scholarship for Research Training in Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan. He has received Medal for Excellence from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Pakistan. He also gained experience working with consultants as an urban and transport planner. Currently, he is serving as a reviewer of multiple International Journals.
