Faculty Profile

Plnr. Muhammad Shafaat Nawaz is a registered Town Planner bearing No. P00966 from Pakistan Council of Architect & Town Planners (PCATP). He has worked as Urban Planner in Punjab Intermediate Cities Improvement Investment Program (PICIIP) funded by Asian Development Bank. From 2016-2018, he worked as Assistant Director (Town Planning) at Lahore Development Authority (LDA). He contributed to the Authority for Land Use Control & Building Control. Moreover, he was privileged to work with the team of Planning & Development Department (P&D) and World Bank in purview of Doing Business Reforms on behalf of LDA. Currently he serves as Assistant Professor in School of Architecture and Planning at University of Management & Technology, Lahore. His published research calls for the inevitable need of developing an integrated Public Transport. Ongoing research works include but are not limited to digital planning, urban policy, infill development and strategic spatial planning.
