Vision and Mission

Vision

The vision is to establish a very important School with undergraduate and postgraduate programs concerning the development of the built environment. The programs are focused on a variety of degrees of architecture and planning. The studies are prioritized to fulfill needs of the nation in the field of the built environment of our regional, urban and rural settlements.

The students are required to be equipped with knowledge of advanced skills, latest knowledge and technology used in architecture, building construction, planning and management of various issues of current developments. They are prepared to understand the current world, new trends and direction of the development in future. Thus, the vision is superior knowledge.

Mission

The mission of the School is to provide the best leadership in the fields of the built environment; particularly in the development, management and innovation in the fields of architecture, urban planning and related specializations and sub-specializations.

SIGNIFICANT COCURRICULUM ACTIVITIES

• Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed between UMT School of Architecture and Planning and the Universiti Sains Malaysia for exchange of students and teachers.
• Establishment of Pakistan’s First Smart Cities Forum
• Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Pakistan Green Building Council and SAP
• Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Diamond Jambolan and SAP
• Establishment of Housing Research Centre (HRC)
• Establishment of Weekly Research Colloquium at the SAP
